Capsule Endoscopy

Today, I had to be at Roswell at 7:00 am to take my Capsule Endoscopy, because I have been through so much in the last few months it was determined that this would be the easiest way for me.

The Capsule Endoscopy is just like it sounds. I swallowed a Capsule which contains a camera that sends pictures and video to a fanny pack device that I wore for 8 hours. I  couldn't eat or drink anything for 12 hours prior to the procedure nor 4 hours after swallowing the Capsule. 😳

Needless to say, I was home within an hour with my fanny pack in tow.  Since it was still early and I couldn't eat, I took a nap and set my alarm for 4 hours exactly so I could wake up and eat.  The remaining 4 hours were easy and went quickly after a light lunch.

After the eight (8) hours, the blue light indicator on the fanny pack stopped blinking, which meant it was finished and I could drop it off to the clinic.

Now, back to the port...🙄today is actually 2 days after insertion so that meant time to change the bandages.  Well, only the bottom bandage gets changed and the top bandage comes off.  My caretaker, Jazmine, did an awesome job eventhough she is a bit heavy handed. 🤣 (love you Jazz)

My anxiety is not as high today. 🙌🏾

I'm exhausted!
