Port Day #2 and Some News

 Day #2 of having the port inserted

I was not a happy camper today.   I allowed my anxiety to get the best of me with having this foreign object in my body.  It doesn't hurt, it just is uncomfortable and knowing the thing is there! 

I spent the most of my day crying my eyes out like a baby...I hate for anyone to see me cry and I literally boo-hooed in front of my child.  

After a few re-assuring phone calls and plenty of praying and a lorazepam later, Jazmine calms me, makes dinner and made me a foot soak bath. Sigh!!! 😊

Not, completely over this port in my chest...basically the catheter in the vein is the bothersome piece...this is my life now.

Keeping my mind occupied with this blog has helped.

Received a call from the case worker at Roswell regarding having an endoscopy that my oncologist team was requesting.  

It appears there is a thing called Capsule endoscopy.  Go figure!!! 

I am scheduled for a capsule endoscopy on Wednesday.  More about that tomorrow.
